The life and times of parents and traveling children

Oh Sunday Morning ...

My daughter has NEVER had a sense of direction (I

have the scars to prove it), but at this point in her life she SERIOUSLY

needs to invest in a navigation system. She has friends on 6 out of 8

military bases in NC and hits a different one nearly every weekend,

depending on who is on which base and for how long. Thursday it was

New River, then yesterday she was headed to SJ, which is only an hour

away. She calls me this morning ....

Me: Hey baby you on your way home?

Tip: Yeah, but can you tell me how to get home the back way if I make

it to Farmville?

Me: Umm ok, but where are you now and how have you gotten lost on an

all 4 lane highway and ended up near Farmville?

TIP: I don't know I miss one of my turns

Me: ok where are you now?

TIP: On a bridge

Me: ok, which bridge? What road? highway markers? anything?

TIP: I don't know I'm just on a bridge in the middle of woods. Can you

 get me home?

Me: ~facepalm~

TIP: OH WAIT! There's a sign for 264. I'll just take it

So now I'm here wondering if she's just going to pull up or if my phone will

be ringing again with her announcing she's somehow on her way to

Raleigh. *sigh* I'm requesting that someone gives her a nav system for

Christmas. Granted she will probably want it to match the rest of her

car...

shiny black 35th anniversary Mustang with hot pink trim, a Swarovski Crystal pony emblem in the grille, hot pink John Deere sticker on the back glass, mirrored John Deere vanity plate, and pink camo seat covers. Guess I'll have to find a camo nav system cover or something LOL
